As a proud Canadian, I have my ‘official’ Hudson’s Bay blanket on display in my home.  These blankets have been around since the late 1700’s and can still be purchased at select Hudson’s Bay stores.  And since this is Canada’s 150^th anniversary I thought that it would be nice to knit a smaller version of this blanket.  And, since I am a great aunt to be, I thought it would be a nice gift for a baby born this year, Canada’s 150^th year, 2017.

Materials:

-  5mm (8 US) needles (40” circular needles)

- Nako Alpaca 10% Alpaca, 90% Premium Acrylic, 100g, 190m – 2 ½  balls white #208; One (1) ball each of Navy #3088, Green #10430, Red #4267

- Nako Vizon 100% Premium Acrylic, 100g, 195m, One (1) ball Yellow #184

Gauge: 17sts and 24 rows = 10 cm (4”) in Stocking Stitch

 Finished Size:   30” width X 40” height (standard baby blanket size)
