Fibre at Fern Retreat I am excited to announce that I have been invited to be a teacher at the Fibre at Fern Retreat this year.  The retreat takes place the weekend of April 12-14th in Orillia.  What is Fibre at Fern?  It is an all-inclusive weekend fibre event at Fern Resort in Orillia, including classes, marketplace, fashion show, delicious food and drink, resort amenities, and a weekend away with friends!   I will be teaching the following classes:   - GEMS: Gauge, Ease, Measurements, Size - Socks a la Carte - Choosing the right type of yarn when substituting Think about...

Workshop to Celebrate Chinese New Year Join us on Saturday February 10th at 10am as we celebrate the first day of the Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year.  The supplies will be provided for you to complete one Chinese Amigurumi Lantern that you can take home with you.  You can find the details here.  Chinese green tea and various treats will also be available.  

Learn to Knit or Crochet Classes All Learn to Knit or Crochet Classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm.  Instruction is free with the purchase of a $30 'Learn to...' Kit.  This kit includes detailed written instructions, yarn, needles or hook, and a printed pattern for a beginner project.  Number of participants is limited to four for each session.  If you wish to sign up for a lesson please email ariverofyarn@gmail.com or call 705-740-3881, to schedule your lesson in advance.  All classes take place at the studio.
