As the creative force behind Koigu Wool Designs, Taiu carries forward a family legacy steeped in color, wool, and craftsmanship. Her journey into the world of fiber arts began in her formative years, being surrounded by the rich textures and hues that would shape her artistic vision.

Join Taiu Landra for an inspiring introduction to the art of mitered square knitting and modular design. Known for her creative use of colour and playful construction techniques, Taiu will guide knitters through the foundations of building beautiful modular pieces one square at a time.Koigu will provide yarn and instructions / pattern

Saturday Afternoon Workshop 1:15pm – 4:45pm
Paint with Colour
A vibrant and inspiring workshop designed to take the fear out of working with variegated, hand-painted, and hand-dyed yarns. In this 3-hour session, Taiu Landra shares her unique approach to colour, helping knitters and crafters understand how to confidently combine, balance, and “paint” with yarn. Blending colour theory, technique, and artistic inspiration, Taiu encourages students to experiment freely and discover new ways to express themselves through knitting. Participants will explore how colour placement, stitch texture, and yarn choice can dramatically transform a project while learning practical techniques for working successfully with richly coloured yarns. This workshop welcomes beginner, intermediate, and advanced crafters alike. Whether you are new to hand-dyed yarns or looking to deepen your understanding of colour, this class offers an encouraging and creative environment to explore your artistic voice.

Sunday Morning Workshop 11:15am – 1:45pm
Estonian (Baltic) Braids

Discover the beauty and rhythm of traditional Estonian knitting techniques . Students will learn three distinct Estonian braid techniques often used to add striking texture, colour, and detail to knitted garments and accessories. This workshop is designed for advanced /intermediate knitters who are comfortable working with stranded colourwork and/or knitting in the round. Students will explore tension, colour placement, and the unique movement of the braids while creating beautiful decorative elements that can be incorporated into future projects.
Learning Objectives:
